Bob Goudriaan succeeds Marc Gauw

Goudriaan succeeds Marc Gauw, who served nearly 4 years in the role and was also chairman of the foundation. I am fascinated by the crucial role of NLnet in the history of the global internet, says Bob Goudriaan. There are fundamental challenges regarding security and privacy that affect all aspects of our society and private lives. Additionally, we are dealing with relevant new phenomena such as donations in cryptocurrencies, which involve various interesting legal and fiscal aspects. We are therefore pleased that Bob is taking over the tasks from Marc Gauw, and grateful for the significant contribution Marc has made to NLnet in recent years. Furthermore, he has been involved since 2014 with the ethical security company Radically Open Security, a socially driven enterprise that committed at its founding to donate its profits to the NLnet foundation. Goudriaan studied tax law at Leiden University, and then alternated roles at large organizations such as PWC and Deloitte both domestically and abroad with entrepreneurship.
