Documentation Sprint for Technical Writers
As part of the Sovereign Tech Fellowship, we’re hosting a documentation sprint: up to six additional spots for technical writers who want to work on critical digital infrastructure in 2026. Experienced technical writers contribute vital expertise: they give structure to complex content, make implicit knowledge easily accessible, and provide guidance for different audiences. It’s aimed at technical writers who want to focus on improving documentation for one or more critical open source projects over a shorter period of time. We’re looking for proposals that will run for approximately three to six months during 2026. You can also propose larger documentation efforts (expected to run longer than six months), but those won’t fall under the documentation sprint. If you are a technical writer with experience in open source and want to contribute to the documentation of critical digital infrastructure, we look forward to receiving your application by April 6, 2026.
