The Danish Agency for Societal Safety takes over the Mit digitale selvforsvar app

“By adding Mit digitale selvforsvar, we are strengthening efforts against digital fraud, to the benefit of the many Danish citizens who are unfortunately affected by fraud every year. We are pleased to expand our portfolio with Mit digitale selvforsvar together with the app’s many partners, who are united in protecting citizens against digital fraud,” says Christine Engel Christensen, deputy director of the Danish Agency for Societal Safety. “Digital fraud has unfortunately become part of everyday life for a great many Danes, while we are also seeing fraud become more advanced and much harder to detect as technology develops. We are proud of how successful the app has become, and are therefore pleased that the Danish Agency for Societal Safety is now future-proofing the app, while we continue our other work to make life more difficult for fraudsters,” says Winni Grosbøll, director of the Danish Consumer Council Tænk. Strong cross-sector cooperation is crucial in the fight against fraud—we see the transfer of Mit digitale selvforsvar as an expression of precisely this. A 2025 study by the Danish Consumer Council Tænk and TrygFonden shows that one in three Danes have been victims of digital fraud, while three out of four Danes have experienced attempts at digital fraud.
