Presentation of a Study on the Need for Social Workers' Engagement in the Education System of Montenegro

The Ministry of Social Welfare, Family, and Demography is organizing a conference to present a study titled "Analysis of Existing Needs in Educational Institutions, with a Focus on Challenges Faced by Students, Parents, and School Staff, to Confirm the Justification for Engaging Social Workers in the Education System." The conference will be opened by the Minister of Social Welfare, Family, and Demography Damir Gutić and will be held on Tuesday, the 28th, starting at 10:00 AM at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Podgorica. The study was developed in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Science, and Innovation – Institute for Education, municipalities of Nikšić, Pljevlja, Herceg Novi, Budva, Ulcinj, and Berane, the Capital City of Podgorica, as well as the organization Help – Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe, based on recommendations from the Protector of Human Rights and Freedoms. The conference will present research results and the study, providing an opportunity to discuss recommendations arising from the analysis of intersectoral engagement of social workers in Montenegro's education system, as well as potential benefits of their inclusion, with particular attention to the Roma and Egyptian populations.
