In 2026, the Ministry of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Northern Development announced the need for a General Director - Directorate for Climate Change and Sustainable Development. The competency, knowledge, and ability verification for candidates meeting the public competition requirements for the position of senior official in the administration is conducted in accordance with the competition conditions and the Regulation on criteria and procedures for testing knowledge, skills, and competencies for work in state bodies. The general test consists of 60 questions selected randomly, with candidates choosing one of multiple answers. Each correct answer scores one point, with a maximum of 15 points per competency. Candidates who score at least eight points per competency on the general test submit a written work evaluating priorities and proposals for improving work processes or the state of the area for which they are appointed. The written work is assessed based on specific competencies such as analysis ability, prioritization, innovation, initiative, clarity, and structure. Candidates who score more than 50% on the written work may proceed to a structured interview.
