Traffic Police Introduces New Radar Control System: Speeding Violations Will Be Recorded Without Stopping Vehicles

The police department will, in order to improve traffic safety and more effectively monitor road users, deploy modern speed control radar devices across various locations throughout Montenegro, in addition to the existing use of unmanned aerial vehicles. The new radar system automatically registers speeding violations without the need for police officers to stop vehicles at the scene. The radar independently detects vehicle speed, records violations, and documents them with photos and videos, capturing vehicle data such as license plates, make, and model. Authorized police officers can access the data online. The system uses advanced TrueCam 2 radar units for precise violation recording. If the vehicle owner was not driving at the time of the violation, they are obliged to inform the authorized police officer within eight days about the identity of the driver, as per applicable regulations.
