Police in Nikšić identify and arrest OIL suspect for supplying cocaine to drug users
Officers from the Nikšić Department of Security – the Drug Control Unit, conducting planned activities to prevent drug abuse and distribution, on the order of the state prosecutor at the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica, yesterday, the 16th, detained a person of operational interest I.J (23) from Nikšić, suspected of committing the criminal offense of unauthorized production, possession, and trafficking of narcotics. After further measures and actions taken and all evidence collected during the investigation, in coordination with the prosecutor, it was found that I.J had been distributing cocaine over a longer period. The person of interest J.P. was also detained and, along with a criminal report, will be forwarded to the competent prosecutor for further proceedings, due to suspicion of committing the aforementioned criminal offense. Police officers continue to implement measures to uncover and prevent drug distribution, focusing on disrupting street-level drug sales to reduce drug availability and strengthen the fight against related crimes at all levels.
