Office of the Administration for Food Safety, Veterinary and Phytosanitary Affairs in Sutorina Supports Phytosanitary, Veterinary and Food Safety Inspections
“Providing premises for the Administration’s office in Sutorina is important for the work of the phytosanitary, veterinary and food safety inspectorates, primarily because of its proximity to the border crossing. Suitable working conditions enable better organization of inspection services and more efficient controls of consignments of plants, plant products, animals, products of animal origin, food and other consignments and facilities under the Administration’s supervision. In this way, we contribute to preventing the introduction and spread of harmful organisms and infectious animal diseases, protecting agricultural production, ensuring food safety and safeguarding consumers’ health in Montenegro. We thank everyone who contributed to the implementation of this project and recognized the needs of our inspection services,” said Vladimir Đaković, Director of the Administration for Food Safety, Veterinary and Phytosanitary Affairs. “It is very important that the Administration for Food Safety, Veterinary and Phytosanitary Affairs has an office in this complex, precisely because of the proximity of the border crossing and the easier work of the inspectorates,” said Stevan Katić, President of the Municipality of Herceg Novi, emphasizing that the new center brings together several facilities important to the residents of Sutorina, particularly highlighting the importance of the Administration’s office. The office premises support the work of all three inspectorates, creating better conditions for controls in the areas of plant health, animal health and food safety.
