Open registration for funding
[Same text in English ENGLISH] Do you have a valuable idea in the field of network and internet technology, and are you looking for financial resources to make your idea possible? Annually, the Stichting spends around two million euros supporting strategic initiatives for the open information society, particularly for the development and popularization of open standards and (network-oriented) open source technology. An important condition is that any software resulting from a project must be made available under an recognized open source license (GPL, BSD, Apache, etc.). Projects requiring significantly more budget than is possible within NLnet's open registration are advised to make an appointment with one of our staff to discuss the possibilities. Currently, several dozen projects and organizations receive financial support, including the research lab NLnet Labs, Unhosted, Lantern Project, Calligra Suite, WebODF, AbiWord, Serval, Jitsi, 0cpm, and Internet Society.
