18 Years of Partnership Between the Ministry of Internal Affairs – Police Directorate and Trebjesa Brewery Continues the Campaign “When I Drink, I Don’t Drive”: Responsibility Starts Before We Sit Behind the Wheel

The Ministry of Internal Affairs – Police Directorate and Trebjesa Brewery are once again implementing the campaign “When I Drink, I Don’t Drive” this summer, which has been reminding drivers for 18 years that alcohol and driving should never be part of the same decision. Trebjesa Brewery emphasizes that the long duration of the campaign confirms the importance of continuous discussion about responsible consumption and road safety, especially during the summer months when traffic is increased. The numerous activities carried out as part of this campaign aim not only to educate but also to constantly remind that alcohol and the steering wheel never go together, said Natalija Đordan, corporate communications manager at Trebjesa Brewery. We send a message to all drivers that alcohol and driving do not go together and that behind every responsible decision at the wheel lies much more than just obeying the rules – caring for family, friends, and everyone waiting for you to return safely, Đordan added. She also highlighted the significant donations from Trebjesa Brewery over the years that have contributed to improving traffic police work, including the latest donation of three modern Dräger alcohol testers, which will further enhance driver control capabilities and the enforcement of legal measures, said Janjušević. He emphasized that, alongside preventive activities, traffic police officers will conduct intensified checks for alcohol presence in drivers’ bodies daily during the campaign, with a special focus on urban zones, busy routes, as well as motorcyclists and young drivers.
