Guarantee for Youth: Defined Next Steps for More Effective Support for Young People
During the training, key components of the National Implementation Plan for the Youth Guarantee, management structure, roles of various actors in the process, as well as EU indicator framework and indicators for the Youth Guarantee in Montenegro were presented. State Secretary in the Ministry of Labor, Employment, and Social Dialogue Anđela Nedović stated that the two-day training was an opportunity for institutions and partners to further improve capacities for implementing the Youth Guarantee through joint work. Participants developed plans for different components of the Youth Guarantee—from informing and reaching out to young people, pre-registration and registration, profiling and preparatory activities, to ensuring quality offers, cooperation, and coordination, as well as monitoring. Deputy National Coordinator of the Youth Guarantee Ivan Medenica said the goal was to turn the previously defined framework into concrete activities and responses to the needs of young people at the local level. The training also showcased experiences from pilot municipalities, with special attention given to improving cooperation and coordination among institutions, and ways to more effectively reach out to unemployed youth, those not in education, or training programs. The training was an opportunity for institutions and partners to further enhance capacities and align activities to ensure that young people in Montenegro receive timely support and quality opportunities for education, training, and employment.
