European Integration Has Strong Support from the Business Community: Ministry of European Affairs and the Association of Managers of Montenegro Signed a Memorandum of Cooperation

At a time when Montenegro is entering the final phase of negotiations for EU membership, the Ministry of European Affairs and the Association of Managers of Montenegro (AMM) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation establishing an institutional framework for stronger involvement of the organized business community in the European integration process. The memorandum represents an important step towards closer cooperation between institutions and the business community in areas such as leadership development, improvement of managerial competencies, promotion of European management standards, and utilization of opportunities provided by EU membership. The European Commission has planned a seven-year budget perspective for Montenegro with an allocation of 3.2 billion euros, which means significantly more financial resources for our economy, said Gorčević. During the meeting, the priorities of future cooperation were discussed, and it was agreed that activities of the Ministry of European Affairs and the Association of Managers will focus on organizing joint conferences, expert gatherings, and educational programs dedicated to European policies and the legal framework of the EU, promoting European management and leadership standards, and exchanging experiences with European partners. Special emphasis will be placed on informing the business community about the opportunities provided by European funds and programs, identifying joint project initiatives, strengthening dialogue between institutions and the business community, and developing competencies necessary for the successful implementation of European standards after accession to the EU. The Association of Managers of Montenegro brings together leaders and managers of leading companies and institutions in Montenegro and has been a full member of the European Confederation of Managers (CEC European Managers) based in Brussels for thirteen years, contributing to the exchange of European experiences and the development of modern leadership.
