Ministry of Diaspora and Berane Municipality Sign Agreement on Diaspora Day Implementation

The Minister of Diaspora, Mirsad Azemović, visited the Municipality of Berane, where he signed an agreement with the Mayor, Đoleta Lutovac, on organizing the Diaspora Days event. This year, besides Berane, the event will be held in two additional municipalities. The agreement marks an important step in further developing the partnership between the Ministry of Diaspora and Berane Municipality, aiming to strengthen ties with our expatriates and involve them more actively in the development of their homeland. Azemović emphasized that Diaspora Days are more than just an event; they are an opportunity for meetings, experience exchange, and initiating new initiatives that connect the diaspora with the local community. Mayor Lutovac stated that the local government remains committed to cooperation with expatriates, recognizing their significant potential for economic, social, and cultural development. During the event, a diverse program will be organized to gather diaspora representatives, entrepreneurs, institutions, and citizens, with a focus on strengthening cooperation and maintaining connections with the homeland. Special attention will be given to the Business Forum, which will provide a platform to discuss investment opportunities, available incentives, and concrete ways to support expatriates interested in starting or expanding businesses in Montenegro. The goal is to identify challenges through open dialogue and create sustainable solutions that will lead to increased investments from the diaspora.
