Bečić: The situation at the fire sites is more stable this morning, all services are on standby
The fires in the areas of Kotor, Danilovgrad, and Kolašin are under complete control, while active and controlled fires continue in Herceg Novi and Ulcinj, according to this morning's overview from OKC 112 of the Directorate for Protection and Rescue. In Herceg Novi, there is an active fire in the Baošići–Bijela–Zelenika–Đenovići area, while in Ulcinj, active fires are present in the Vladimir–Klezna–Gač–Zoganje–Briska Gora region. Local protection and rescue services, as well as teams from Tivat, Trebinje, Boka Volunteer Fire Department, and Krtoli, are engaged in Herceg Novi, along with the Luštica Bay unit. A helicopter from the Montenegrin Army was dispatched this morning to support aerial firefighting efforts. In Ulcinj, local services, with significant assistance from colleagues from Plav, Bijelo Polje, Berane, and the Montenegro Volunteer Fire Department, are working to contain the fires. Teams from the Directorate for Protection and Rescue and the Police Department, aided by drones, are monitoring the terrain. Throughout the day, activities on the ground and the deployment of aircraft will be organized and coordinated based on the evolving situation and priorities at the fire sites to ensure resources are directed where they are most needed. Authorities continue to coordinate activities, working jointly and cohesively, continuously monitoring the development of the situation on the ground.
