Nišić at the STAR forum: Active approach for better opportunities for youth

Good policies only make sense when people recognize them in their daily lives, said Minister of Labor, Employment, and Social Dialogue Naida Nišić at today's STAR forum "Labor Market: From Policies to Suitable Opportunities." Nišić emphasized that NEET youth are a special category requiring additional attention, and that this is just one step toward their better integration into society and the labor market. Through open dialogue and individual plans, our goal is to provide them with quality offers for employment, continued education, internships, or training," said the minister, adding that the primary goal is for every young person to receive concrete and tangible support within four months after finishing school or losing a job. "We all bear a heavy burden in the upcoming period, especially over the next two years, when many more attractive jobs will be available to young people. Therefore, the policies of the state, as well as cooperation among all relevant actors—international organizations, the civil sector, and institutions—must be at a high level to meet the challenges ahead," Nišić stated. She highlighted that the Ministry of Labor, Employment, and Social Dialogue will continue to develop policies that do not stay on paper but turn into real opportunities for people, which is the best investment in a European and prosperous Montenegro.
