Monthly Report for August 2026

In 2026, 1,876 inspection checks were carried out, including 1,217 regular inspections, 140 inspections initiated by initiatives, and 519 control inspections. During inspections at oversight entities, market inspectors identified 1,098 irregularities related to violations of regulations within their jurisdiction. To address these irregularities, market inspectors issued 1,026 decisions. Of these, 581 cases involved ordering the correction of irregularities, 248 cases involved removing products worth 136,424.27 euros from the market, 90 cases involved issuing temporary bans on activities (sealing facilities), and 78 cases involved decisions to deliver business documentation. During the reporting period, the Directorate for Market Inspection forwarded five initiatives to competent authorities for further action due to lack of jurisdiction. The Directorate will continue inspections to ensure the enforcement of laws and regulations related to internal trade, consumer protection, intellectual property rights, provision of craft services, and other areas within its competence, to ensure consistent application and contribute to a well-regulated market.
