Renewed School Sports Grounds at OŠ „Luka Simonović“ in Nikšić
As part of the works, a new acrylic sports surface was installed, along with basketball hoops, goals, volleyball set, Teqball table, table tennis table, and fitness equipment, providing students with a modern and multifunctional space for various sports and recreational activities. On the occasion of the opening, representatives from the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation, the Ministry of Sports and Youth, local government, and the Center for Sports and Youth Promotion visited the school and symbolically handed over sports equipment for use during classes and free activities. In addition to reconstructing school facilities, we are actively working on landscaping the yard and improving the quality of sports infrastructure within educational facilities to ensure our youngest have all the conditions for sports activities and to develop and encourage healthy lifestyles. The Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation will continue to work with the Ministry of Sports and Youth to create better conditions for the development of school sports and support all good initiatives on this topic,” said Jakšić-Stojanović. In an era when technology increasingly influences how young people spend their free time, it is especially important to encourage them to be physically active and provide quality spaces for classes, extracurricular sports activities, and socializing,” said Jojić. I take this opportunity to congratulate Minister Jakšić-Stojanović on the realization of such an important and beautiful project not only for the school but for the entire neighborhood, as generations of successful athletes have grown up on this field, including Andrija Delibašić, who passed away last year.
