New Regulation on Sampling and Analysis Methods for Mycotoxin Level Control in Food

The Official Gazette of Montenegro, issue 95/2026, published the Regulation on establishing sampling and analysis methods for controlling mycotoxin levels in food, which came into force on the 11th. The regulation defines sampling and analysis methods for controlling mycotoxin levels in food, ensuring reliable laboratory testing and uniform application of official controls. This regulation transposes EU Regulation 2023/2782 into Montenegrin legislation, establishing uniform sampling and analysis methods for mycotoxin control in food. By adopting this regulation, the system of official controls is further improved, and consumer health protection is strengthened through the alignment of national legislation with EU food safety standards.
