Ibrahimović Meets Teni: Continuing Strong Partnership Between Montenegro and the USA

The Deputy Prime Minister of Montenegro and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ervin Ibrahimović, met today in Podgorica with U.S. Congresswoman Claudia Teni, who is visiting the Western Balkans region. Ibrahimović expressed satisfaction with the renewed meeting and ongoing communication with U.S. Congress representatives, emphasizing the importance of intensive political dialogue and mutual visits for further strengthening the strategic partnership between Montenegro and the USA. Our relations are further reinforced by NATO alliance and shared interests in peace, stability, and prosperity of the Western Balkans. Ibrahimović highlighted that Montenegro, as a reliable ally of the USA and a country fully aligned with the EU's foreign policy, remains committed to contributing to a stable and secure regional environment. Special attention was given to economic relations, with Ibrahimović noting Montenegro's interest in increased presence and investments by American companies, especially in energy, infrastructure, tourism, and digital sectors. In this context, the significance of the Intergovernmental Agreement on cooperation in implementing strategic projects (G2G), which came into force on the 13th, was particularly emphasized.
