Bulatović for MINA: Real Estate Administration Submitted Over 80,000 Requests for Registration of Illegal Buildings

The Real Estate Administration has received over 80,000 requests for registration of illegally constructed buildings in the cadastral records, said the Director of the Real Estate Administration, Mr. Marko Bulatović, in an interview with MINA News agency. Of the total number of cases, more than 60,000 buildings were registered in the cadastral records before the Law on Legalization of Illegal Buildings came into force, while after the law's implementation, around 19,000 new requests have been received by the Administration. "The Real Estate Administration continues to improve electronic services, including electronic data exchange with the Notarial Chamber and the possibility of electronically downloading property lists. In the upcoming period, process modernization will be continued through the development of new electronic services, including cooperation with geodetic organizations and public executors. These services enable citizens to more easily exercise their rights and reduce the need to visit counters, thereby making a significant contribution to reform processes and achieving Montenegro's strategic goal – full membership in the European Union," said Bulatović. He emphasized that the goal is for Montenegro to have a fully up-to-date, reliable, and functional electronic cadastre before joining the EU, which will serve as the basis for legal security for citizens, the state, and the economy. The activities outlined aim to improve cadastral data, develop the information system, and create modern services for citizens, with the Real Estate Administration striving to contribute fully to Montenegro's successful integration into the European Union.
