By providing flexible, targeted support, the Sovereign Tech Fellowship enables these experts to focus on impactful work, strengthens the ecosystem for everyone, and builds the foundations that allow the next generation of contributors and maintainers to engage, learn, and thrive. Our technologists are currently exploring how to better support open source maintainers and contributors who are actively working on technology standards relevant to their open source infrastructure projects. The survey closes on March 9, 2026, thank you for your time and for your contributions: Learn more about our motivations for engaging in open standards: Our Sovereign Tech Resilience program takes a holistic approach to protecting critical digital infrastructure. Building on the success of the program, the services delivered under this program are now being extended and re-awarded through two new framework agreements and six lots, each with a maximum contract term of four years. Projects that are preserved this way receive persistent identifiers and structured metadata, creating durable references that support maintenance, reuse, auditing, and research over time.
