Šćepanović assumes position as Montenegro's permanent representative to the Council of Europe

Ambassador Dragana Šćepanović officially assumed the position as Montenegro's permanent representative to the Council of Europe after presenting her credentials to the Secretary General of the Council of Europe. Her term begins at a significant moment for Montenegro, which is preparing to assume the chairmanship of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe. The chairmanship will be an opportunity for Montenegro to contribute to strengthening European values and enhancing cooperation within the Council of Europe through active participation in the work of the Committee of Ministers. With nearly two decades of diplomatic experience in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro, Ambassador Šćepanović possesses substantial expertise in international relations, diplomacy, and multilateral cooperation, which will be particularly valuable for representing Montenegro's interests in the Council of Europe. Montenegro remains strongly committed to cooperation with the Council of Europe and shared European values, especially in areas such as human rights protection, strengthening democratic institutions, and the rule of law.
